Book Four of the Castaways in Time Series

By Robert Adams

Their forces divided by an experiment gone awry, will the castaways survive the perils of past times and wars?

The Time Projector has been unexpectedly activated, transporting Bass Foster's fellow castaways in time to the American wilderness where native Indians battle Spanish invaders.

And even as the unlikely band of travelers struggles to save the Indians from their foe, Bass and his troops are caught in the intrigues of Ireland's warring kingdoms. Divided and stranded in their different times and lands, the castaways face the challenges of foes far more deadly than any they have ever known.

Excerpt

Different times and worlds...

The time carrier could give Arsen all the information a distant future race had stored in it about Earth down through the centuries. It had already told him he was now in North America, but when he was, he had not yet discovered. He began his exploration, hoping that he and his small band had not been set down in a time before humans roamed the land.

He activated the vision screens, fingered the magnification into focus, and observed two huge, shaggy-haired things that looked like nothing so much as elephants with impossibly long, very cursive trunks. Mammoths? In North America?

Just as he was beginning to think worst fears were true, Arsen saw black smoke rising high enough for wind currents to disperse it. He swept closer, lower. He had found other humans at last, but he had also found a vision of pure horror!
